Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards

Fixed term contract role with Department of Heath, concluding December 2009, assisting a seven person development team to aid the completion of the ACCEA project.
Specifically to improve the performance of batch processes, front end, middle tier development and defect fixing in ASP.NET 2.0 / VB.NET over Oracle 9i.


Responsibilities

  • Trouble shooter identifying areas of the system where improvements could be most effective.
  • Reports both verbal and written reports for the technical architect of areas requiring attention, and then action.
  • Mentoring providing guidance and assistance for junior members of the team.
  • Database liaise with the D.B.A.’s to negotiate a compromise between rigid standards and database performance.
  • Optimisation batch process performance improvements to achieve timings acceptable to the business.
